African Proverb#6

"It is better to be Loved than Feared"

This Proverb to me means that you'd rather have someone love you than someone to be afraid of you. You would rather your family love you than be frightened by you because you'll need them sooner than you think. You really don't want your family members on your bad side because you'll eventually need something from them. You'd never want to walk in a house and ask for something and right off the bat they say "NO" because they're scared of you. You don't want to go to bed at night knowing that everyone is against you. You'll rather want to lay down at night knowing that everything is okay.

This Proverb will help me in everyday life because I'll show love to them and when I do..... I know that I'll always get love back. I'll respect them and make sure that I do everything right the first time and make not one MAJOR mistake. If I make a MAJOR mistake..... I know that they'll never be able to trust me the way they did before. My trust will be gone and they will be scared of me. When people are scared of you they really don't want to be near you. They'll stay away from you and you'll be lonely.
